<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera which is attached to the exterior of a vehicle to image the outside of the vehicle through a wide-angle lens having a wide field angle, and still can prevent raindrops and mud from being attached onto the wide-angle lens while maintaining the wide field angle. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle camera includes: a camera body 10 for imaging the outside of a vehicle through a wide-angle lens 12 having a wide field angle; a hood 20 covering a front portion 13 of the camera body 10 and having an opening in a porion facing the wide-angle lens 12; hood sliding means 30 for allowing the hood 20 to slide in forward and backward directions with respect to the front portion 13 of the camera body 10. When the camera does not operate, the hood 20 is held at an advance position spaced from the front portion 13 of the camera body 10 to cover a view field of the wide-angle lens 12, and when it operates, the hood 20 is held at a position close to the front portion 13 of the camera body 10 to allow the hood 20 to be retracted backward of the view field of the wide-angle lens 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
