The disclosed wireless terminal is a wireless terminal that performs wireless communication of which the number of uplink carriers and the number of downlink carriers are different, the wireless terminal including a reception unit that receives information relating to a first carrier of which an uplink carrier and a downlink carrier are paired and a second carrier of which an uplink carrier and a downlink carrier are not paired, and a coupling unit that couples to a wireless base station using the first carrier based on the information.
