Disclosed is a method for sensing the usage amount of an excessive bandwidth. The present invention relates to a method for sensing the usage amount of the excessive bandwidth comprises the steps of: acquiring an information group for the usage amount of a network bandwidth; applying a plurality of mutually different detecting methods for the acquired information group; determining the usage amount of the excessive bandwidth; and restricting the determined usage amount of the bandwidth. Therefore, by restricting the usage amount of a bandwidth using an excessive network bandwidth, the present invention fairly secures and provides the network bandwidth.
