<p>Railway route control device (100, Fig.2), comprising processor 102 and storage device 101, outputs control information to a ground device (203, Fig.2) that controls track circuits, point and signals etc (204-206, Fig.2). Prediction calculation unit 113 forecasts arrival and departure time of each train at each timetabled station based on timetable information 107 and train-on track-information 106. Order determination unit 112 identifies potential conflict between trains approaching a block section based on the forecast times, timetable information and train-on-track information. It calculates an effect on a subsequent traffic control of a train passing order and determines the passing order for which the effect satisfies a predetermined condition (e.g. reduced or minimised delays). Information generation unit 111 then generates route control information that controls routes of the conflicting trains according to the determined passing order and outputs this to the ground device.</p> |
