The present invention relates to a separator including a coating layer and a battery using the same and, more particularly, to a separator capable of minimizing the change rate of a thickness by improving adhesion to an electrode. More particularly, the present invention relates to a separator with high thermal and shape stabilities which is applied to various sizes of electrochemical batteries by improving adhesion and heat resistance by forming the coating layer which includes a polyvinylidene fluoride binder and an acrylic copolymer binder on one side or both sides of a base film.
