The present invention relates to a separator, a composition for coating the separator, and an electrochemical battery including the separator which comprise: a polyolefin-based base material film; and a coating layer formed on one side or both sides of the base material film comprising an organic binder and an inorganic particle. The organic binder comprises an acrylic copolymer including a repeating unit derived from a methacrylate monomer and a repeating unit derived from a monomer containing an acetate group.
