<p>A system for monitoring movements in inventory levels is disclosed. The system comprises a client device and a server device in communication with one another over a communication network such as that of the Internet Protocol (IP) type. Inventory count and inventory movement label information can be captured by an input/output component of the client device and can be processed and transmitted to the server device by computer-executable instructions that consist in an application module installed in the client device. The instructions are arranged to update an inventory count in an inventory record based on the inventory count information and the inventory movement label information from the client device, wherein the inventory movement label information can be selected from a group consisting of new stocks, sales, positive adjustments, negative adjustments, inbound transfers, and outbound transfers.</p> |
