Disclosed is a charging member capable of maintain stable charging properties for a long time even if only DC voltage is applied. One embodiment of a charging member of the present disclosure provides a charging member including: a conductive supporter; a conductive elastomer layer stacked on the conductive supporter; and a conductive resin layer stacked on the conductive elastomer layer. The conductive resin layer includes a matrix material; and a plurality of particles dispersed into the matrix material. The particles include first particles, and if the thickness of the portion formed by the matrix material alone of the conductive resin layer is referred to as A [μm], the average particle size of the first particles is referred to as B1 [μm], and the interparticle distance of the particles is referred to as Sm [μm], then A is 1.0 to 7.0 μm, B1/A is 5.0 to 30.0, and Sm is 50 to 400 μm. |
