An all-terrain vehicle comprises a body, a powerplant mounted inside said body, running gear, and a control device. The powerplant comprises a mechanical motor, a converter for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy, and four electric motors. The running gear comprises four track drives, each of which is connected to a corresponding electric motor, the track drives being situated in lateral recesses in the body. A drive comprises a caterpillar track surrounding a driving wheel and at least two supporting wheels. The driving wheel is situated in the top part of the body, and the supporting wheels are situated below the bottom part of the body. The driving wheels of the front pair of drives are situated at the front part of the body of the all-terrain vehicle. The driving wheels of the rear pair of drives are situated at the rear part of the body of the all-terrain vehicle. The drives of the front and rear parts of the all-terrain vehicle are arranged symmetrically about the middle part of the body. A drive suspension mount is configured in the form of a frame which is provided with axle retainers for the supporting wheels and which is connected to the body of the all-terrain vehicle by shock-absorbing elements. The control device is designed to be capable of controlling each electric motor independently. In a second embodiment, a combined motor/wheel element is used. |
