<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fabric used for an article using Japanese paper as a raw material, achieving moisture absorption, durability and good sense of touch simultaneously.SOLUTION: Fabric is made by mixing main thread and sub-thread. The main thread contains at least 50 wt.% of Japanese paper slit into a narrow width, and the weight per unit length of the sub-thread is 1/5-2/3 of that of the main thread. The fabric has a weave structure made of warp A made of the main thread, weft A made of the main thread, warp B made of the sub-thread, and weft B made of the sub-thread. In the weave structure, a warp row has a repetitive row structure in which the plurality of pieces of warp B is disposed among two pieces of the warp A, and a weft row has a repetitive row structure in which the plurality of pieces of weft B is disposed among two pieces of the weft A. The pieces of warp A and the pieces of weft A are interlaced in a plain weave structure. The weave density coefficient of the fabric is 8.5-14.</p> |
