PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite article capable of being produced using short cycle times and having good service characteristics such as good mechanical properties.SOLUTION: A method of producing a composite article by molding is provided which comprises at least the following steps of: (a) impregnating a reinforcing fabric with a composition comprising a polyamide resin in a molten state, the resin having a number average molecular weight Mn of 1,500 to 8,000 g/mol (the molecular weight being calculated according to the relationship: Mn=2,000,000/(AEG+CEG+BEG), and the resin having a concentration of an amine end group (AEG) of 25 meq/kg or more, a concentration of an acid end group (CEG) of 25 meq/kg or larger, and a concentration of a blocked terminal group (BEG) of 25 meq/kg or more; and (b) cooling and subsequently recovering the composite article. The polyamide is not the one modified by an aromatic hydroxyl unit chemically bonded to the polyamide chain. |
