PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt device configured to generate predetermined contact pressure in a nip where a drive roller comes into contact with an outer peripheral surface of a belt supported by a support member, and to reliably prevent belt skew due to rotation driving force transmitted to one end of the drive roller.SOLUTION: A belt device includes: drive roller holding means which holds an axial end of a drive roller 66 so that a rotation axial center position of the drive roller 66 may not be changed in a direction of a distance to an opposite support member 63 facing the drive roller, out of a plurality of support members supporting the belt 65; opposite support member holding means which holds the opposite support member 63 so as to move forward/backward in a direction of distance to the drive roller 66; and biasing means which biases the opposite support member 63 toward the drive roller 66. |
