PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine exhaust chamber capable of attaining a high diffuser effect while dealing with a change in a plant operation state without complicating a structure.SOLUTION: An exhaust chamber 5 of a steam turbine 100 includes: a diffuser channel 3; and a plasma actuator 6. The diffuser channel 3 is formed by a cylindrical steam guide 4 provided downstream of a final-stage moving blade 8 and a bearing cone 2 provided inward of the steam guide 4, and connected to a condenser. The plasma actuator 6 is provided in the steam guide 4 of the diffuser channel 3, for accelerating a fluid flowing in the diffuser channel 3 in response to an applied voltage.
