<p>Disclosed herein are a touch screen and a method for driving the same. The touch screen includes: a switching unit including a plurality of switches connected to traces of driving lines and sensing lines of the touch screen, respectively; a sensing unit sensing capacitance and electromagnetic resonance (EMR) according to a switching operation of the switching unit; and a main controlling unit controlling the switching operation of the switching unit according to an operation mode of the touch screen. Therefore, it is possible to improve sensitivity of sensing without increasing a bezel region of the touch screen. In addition, the EMR and the capacitance may be sensed using the same trace structure, and an antenna pattern may be formed and operated as an antenna.</p> |
