<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine that remarkably increases the fun by eliminating boredom of a player during a jackpot period, while preventing the player from missing suitable prize balls when gazing at only a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine includes: a jackpot random number counter C1 for drawing a lottery when a game ball enters a start pocket; a jackpot symbol counter C2 for determining a normal win or a probability variable win; a jackpot pocket designed to be opened until a predetermined number of balls enter or until a predetermined time elapses during a jackpot state; and a display device for displaying rank-up information during the jackpot state on the basis of count values of the counters C1, C2.
