<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a user who concurrently attaches a plurality of batteries to an apparatus and also improve battery life by substantially concurrently performing a substantially full charge of the plurality of batteries. <P>SOLUTION: A charging device includes: a plurality of attachment parts 201a-201d for respectively attaching a plurality of battery packs B1-B4 of a specific type; and detection switches SWa-Swd for acquiring residual capacity information of each of a plurality of battery means attached to the plurality of attachment parts. Distribution ratios k1-k4 for respectively distributing a predetermined charge current value Imax preset with respect to the specific type to the plurality of battery packs B1-B4 are set according to a residual capacity acquisition result.
