Class 142(4) A fabric for stiffening garments comprises a narrow fabric (which may be slit from a wider fabric) having nylon monofils 20 interspersed in the warp in one or more stripes 15. The monofils are interwoven with the weft in a plain weave, the ordinary warp and weft being woven 2 by 2 matt.
