<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detection device capable of selectively detecting only the presence of a person continuously staying within a predefined zone. <P>SOLUTION: A human body detection device 1 includes: a dual-type pyroelectric infrared sensor 12 for outputting an electric signal in response to the change amount of an infrared ray; a comparison part 22 for outputting a detection signal if the output electric signal exceeds a threshold; a second timer 24 for measuring elapsed time from the output of the detection signal every time it is output; and a state determination part 25 for determining whether an event in which the detection signals are output in intervals shorter than a predefined time (e.g., 3 seconds) occurs repeatedly or not based on the elapsed time measured by the second timer 24, and, if determining that the event occurs repeatedly, determining that there is a person continuously staying (i.e., a person sitting in a seat) in a predefined zone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
