<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which removes and reduces various types of noise (such as block noise) which occurs when decompressing image data compressed by processing by the block thereby improving the image quality of decompressed image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: a decompression unit which decompresses compressed image data which has been compressed in units of blocks of pixels; and a filtering unit which performs image processing by bilateral filtering, using filters having different coefficients depending on whether to subject the image data decompressed by the decompression unit to image processing with a pixel facing or not the boundary of each block as a target pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
