<p>An information processing apparatus is capable of automatically determining whether an operation log needs to be written to an external device when the external device is connected to the information processing apparatus and saving the operation log into the external device when necessary. A determination is made as to whether or not content for retrieving an operation log is present in an external device upon detection of connection of the external device. The operation log is retrieved from a holding unit if a result of the determination shows that the user interface control unit is in an error condition. The retrieved operation log is saved into a storage unit of the external device.</p> |
