1. A method of making a concrete pile, the method comprising:
providing a casting chute, the casting chute comprising two side members and an interior space between the two side members; providing a casting guide in the interior space of the casting chute, the casting guide comprising:
a first casting guide end plate;a first plurality of spaced apart lock rod forms attached to the first casting guide end plate and extending substantially perpendicular to the casting guide end plate, at least two of the first plurality of lock rod forms comprising a first set of crosswise through-holes having an axis substantially parallel to the plane of the casting guide end plate and substantially co-axial to each other;a first plurality of spaced apart lock socket forms attached to the casting guide end plate and extending substantially perpendicular to the casting guide end plate in a substantially opposite direction from the first plurality of lock rod forms, at least two of the first plurality of lock socket forms comprising a second set of crosswise through-holes having an axis substantially parallel to the plane of the casting guide end plate and substantially co-axial to each other; anda second casting guide end plate attached to a second plurality of spaced apart lock rod forms and a second plurality of spaced apart lock socket forms, attaching a joint to the first casting guide end plate, the joint comprising a joint end plate, a plurality of spaced apart lock rods, and a plurality of spaced apart lock sockets; pinning the joint to the casting guide by inserting a first casting guide pin in the first set of crosswise through-holes and inserting a second casting guide pin in the second set of crosswise through-holes, the first and second casting guide pin extending substantially across the first casting guide end plate; and pouring concrete into the interior space of the casting chute. |
