The present invention relates to a safety hook having a new structure, which is convenient to use and capable of preventing a rope from leaving its intended position when transporting a heavy object. The safety hook in the present invention hooks a rope (1) tied to the object to a hook body (20), which moves down when a weight is applied and rotates a rotating arm (50) downward to close an opening (21) of the hook body (20) to prevent the rope (1) from leaving the hook body (20). Moreover, the hook body (20) moves up due to the elasticity of an elastic member (30) when the weight applied to the hook body (20) is removed after the object is transported to its destination. Accordingly, the rotating arm (50) rotates upward and opens the opening (21). The safety hook in the present invention can therefore open the opening (21) automatically when the object is put down and allow an operator to easily separate the rope (1) unlike conventional safety hooks that require the operator to manually operate and unlock a safety catch to separate the rope (1) from the hook body (20). |
