A method for optimizing data transmission in a cellular communication network carrying out a reconfiguration for a User Equipment [UE] between Dual Cell High-Speed Uplink Packet Access [DC-HSUPA] and Single Cell High-Speed Uplink Packet Access [SC-HSUPA] performed at Radio Network Controller [RNC] level comprising the following steps:
determining at least one parameter from a set of parameters, the set of parameters comprising a power level value of the UE switching from DC-HSUPA to SC-HSUPA when at least one condition of a set of conditions is met:
the available power level of the UE is determined to be below a power threshold value needed to perform the switching. |
