PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing group III-V semiconductor nanoparticles having high luminous efficiency in an aqueous solution.SOLUTION: An organic solvent dispersion having group III-V semiconductor nanoparticles dispersed therein and an aqueous solution containing a group II compound and an S element-containing compound are brought into contact with each other to move the group III-V semiconductor nanoparticles into the aqueous solution, and then the aqueous solution is irradiated with light, thereby producing nanoparticles having a core/shell structure composed of a core comprising a group III element and a group V element and a shell comprising a group II element and an S element.
