A data access method and system for accessing data is provided. The method includes: receiving, by a display device, an access request input by a user for an object to be accessed, wherein the object to be accessed is selected by the user from a plurality of objects played by the display device, and the access request comprises a code of the object to be accessed and an identity of the user; transmitting, by the display device, the access request to an access platform, to make the access platform identify a data provider corresponding to the object to be accessed based on the code; and transmitting, by the access platform, the access request to the data provider to establish an access relation between the user and the data provider in real time. The data access process is simplified and the user experience is improved.
