<p>Provided is a toilet seat opening and closing mechanism that can open and close a toilet seat using a simple mechanism without a user ever touching the toilet seat. A toilet seat opening and closing mechanism (100) comprises: a toilet seat (10) that is provided so as be able to rotate from a toilet seat closed position, in which the toilet seat is lain on top of the toilet body (2), to a toilet seat opened position about a toilet seat rotating shaft (32) provided on the base end side of a toilet body (2); a toilet seat lid (20) that is provided on the toilet seat (10) so as to be able to rotate from a lid closed position covering the toilet seat (10), to a lid opened position; a lid supporting mechanism that supports the toilet seat lid (20) in the lid opened position; a lid guiding mechanism that guides, in the downward direction, the toilet seat lid (20) supported by the lid supporting mechanism; and a rotating mechanism that can rotate the toilet seat lid (20) from the lid closed position to the lid opened position and that can rotate the toilet seat (10) to the toilet seat opened position when the toilet seat lid (20) is moved downward.</p> |
