摘要 A retardation film, an optical film, and a display device are provided to reduce dependency on wavelength and viewing angle and to improve display characteristics. The retardation film of the present invention comprises: a first phase retardation layer including a polymer having a negative value of double refraction; and a second phase retardation layer including a liquid crystal having a positive value of double refraction. The inplane phase difference of the first phase retardation layer to an incident light with the wavelength of 550 nm (R_e1) is 320 to 1,050 nm, and the inplane phase difference of the second phase retardation layer to an incident light with the wavelength of 550 nm (R_e2) is 180 to 910 nm. The whole inplane phase difference of the first phase retardation layer and the second phase retardation layer to an incident light with the wavelength of 550 nm (R_e0) is the difference between the inplane phase difference of the first phase retardation layer (R_e1) and the inplane phase difference of the second phase retardation layer (R_e2). The angle made by the slow axis of the first phase retardation layer and the slow axis of the second phase retardation layer is 85 to 95 degrees. The whole inplane phase difference of the first phase retardation layer and the second phase retardation layer to the wavelengths of 450 nm, 550 nm, and 650 nm (R_e0) satisfies R_e0 (450 nm)<R_e0 (550 nm)<R_e0 (650 nm).
