The invention provides a method for producing a ruthenium complex, which can synthesize Ru(dcbpy)2(NCS)2 in a short time. The production method has the following steps: 1) reacting RuCl3.3H2O with dcbpy and synthesizing an intermediate Ru(II)(dcbpy)2Cl2; and 2) adding NH4NCS to synthesize the Ru(dcbpy)2(NCS)2, wherein separation and purification are needed to be carried out on the synthesized Ru(II)(dcbpy)2Cl2, and the step 1) and step 2) are performed in the same reactor, i.e. a one-pot method is used. Reacting conditions for each reaction in step 1) and step 2) are optimized, thus shortening the synthesis time, reducing generation of isomers, and obtaining the Ru(dcbpy)2(NCS)2 with high purity, high yield and low cost. |
