PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment liquid for inkjet, capable of forming high quality image and high speed output processing with a superior suppressing effect of curling, and to provide an inkjet recording apparatus.SOLUTION: The treatment liquid is used in an inkjet recording method which has a step of applying a treatment liquid 1 to a recording medium 6 and a step of forming an image by discharging an ink that includes a coloring material to the recording medium. The treatment liquid contains at least a water-soluble coagulant, a surfactant, water-soluble organic solvents, and water. The water-soluble organic solvents contained in the treatment liquid are 40 mass% or more to the total amount of the treatment liquid. The water-soluble organic solvents include a water-soluble organic solvent which is ≥15 mass% to the total amount of the treatment liquid, the water-soluble organic solvent having an equilibrium water content of ≥30 mass% at a temperature of 23°C with a humidity of 80%, and a water-soluble organic solvent which is ≥40 mass% to the total amount of the water-soluble organic solvent, the water-soluble organic solvent having an equilibrium water content of ≥6 mass% and smaller than 20 mass% at the temperature of 23°C with a humidity of 80%. |
