A nose (38) comprises a mandrel (40) for holding a neck (26) of the preform, and is fixed removably to a bottom axial end of the support by radial sliding of fixing elements. The nose comprises an ejection plate (46), which is mounted to slide axially around the mandrel between a cladding position in which the mandrel protrudes axially downward and an uncladding position in which the mandrel is axially retracted above a bottom face of the plate. An independent claim is also included for a device for replacing two noses of a gripping element.
