PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurence of uneven luminance in a display area of a display device resulting from light being incident from an edge of a display panel.SOLUTION: A display device 10 according to the present invention comprises: a light source 17; a display panel 11 that includes a display surface 11c including a display area 11c1 and a non-display area 11c2 and a rear surface 11d on an opposite side of a display surface 11c side; a light guide plate 16 that includes a light incident surface 16b which light from the light source 17 enters and a light emergent surface 16a that emits light toward the rear surface 11d; a light source support member 19 that supports the light source 17; and a light shielding member 21 that extends from an edge 19a3 of the light source support member 19 disposed on a display panel 11 side toward a light incident surface 16b side and is provided between the display panel 11 and the light guide plate 16 so as to cover a portion 16a2 overlapping with a non-display area 11c2 of the light emergent surface 16a. |
