The present invention relates to a digital device which can obtain a color image and a depth image, and a method for processing three-dimensional image thereof, which comprises the steps of: converting resolution of an optic acquisition part from first resolution into second resolution which is lower than the first resolution; detecting a visible ray and an infrared ray from a certain object; extracting color image information from a visible ray detected in a first detection part of the optic acquisition part during a first time; extracting depth image information from the infrared ray detected in a second detection part of the optic acquisition part during a second time; determining whether the extraction of color image information and depth image information of the object is completely finished; and displaying a three dimensional image of the object based on the extracted color image information and depth image information, if the extraction of color image information and depth image information is completely finished.
