<p>Measuring method comprises: receiving a measured quantity in a measuring chain; further processing the measuring chain by converting the measured quantity into a measuring result; modulating the original or the converted measured quantity with a predetermined modulation frequency; adding a magnitude exhibiting the same frequency as the modulation, to the converted measured quantity, and shifting converted measured quantity to a predetermined phase angle; calibrating the measuring chain with different known values of measured quantity; and determining an unknown value of the measured quantity. Measuring method comprises: receiving a measured quantity in a measuring chain; further processing the measuring chain by converting the measured quantity into a measuring result; modulating the original or the converted measured quantity with a predetermined modulation frequency at a first location (5) of the measuring chain; adding a magnitude exhibiting the same frequency as the modulation, to the converted measured quantity at a second location of the measuring chain that is located behind the first location in the direction of the further processing, and shifting the converted measured quantity to a predetermined phase angle with respect to the magnitude, so that the measuring result comprises a vector described by amplitude and phase; calibrating the measuring chain with different known values of the measured quantity to obtain different vectors, which define a characteristic curve; and determining an unknown value of the measured quantity from a point of the characteristic curve, in which the resultant vector or its extension cuts the characteristic curve.</p> |
