<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for a cosmetic in which the sense of use such as smoothness and fitness to the skin upon application is satisfactory, and which has satisfactory emulsion stability, and a cosmetic containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The base for a cosmetic is composed of a polyalkylene glycol derivative represented by formula (I), and the cosmetic includes the same: (I) Z-äO-(AO)a-(EO)k-(AO)b-R}m (wherein, Z denotes a residue obtained by removing hydroxyl groups from water-soluble polyhydric alcohol having 3 to 6 pieces of the hydroxy groups; m denotes 3 to 6; EO denotes an oxyethylene group; AO denotes a 4 to 8C oxyalkylen group, and EO and AO are coupled in a block shape; a and b denote the average addition mole number of AO; k denotes the average addition mole number of EO; a denotes 0 to 50; b denotes 1 to 50; a+b denotes 1 to 50; k denotes 1 to 50; (a+b+k)×m denotes 100 to 300, and the mass ratio of EO is 10 to 75 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the total content of EO and AO; and R denotes a hydrogen atom or a 12 to 24C fatty acid residue). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
