<p>The method involves projecting fowls from a slaughter/evisceration line, and turning the fowl to 180 degrees for transferring or hooking the fowls in a linearly displaceable trussing chain (2). The fowls are transferred in vertical position at level of tarsus. The fowls are raised in horizontal position. The wings of the fowl are folded, and the longitudinal compression force is exerted from a wishbone. A trussing operation is realized by an elastic buckle, and the trussed fowls are ejected. An independent claim is also included for an installation for continuously trussing a fowl comprising an ejection unit.</p> |
