<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incoming-direction estimation system capable of estimating an incoming direction with a relatively simple process and yet with the same accuracy as the conventional technique. <P>SOLUTION: Radio waves are received by rotating, in an azimuth direction, a receiving antenna constituted by an antenna set made of a first antenna and a second antenna that each has single directivity and are respectively arranged left and right to thereby estimate incoming direction of the radio waves. A system includes: means for defining, as a first phase difference, a difference in a directivity phase between the first and second antennas at a rotation angle A; means for defining, as a second phase difference, a difference in phases of reception signals obtained by the first and second antennas at a rotation angle B; and means for defining, as a provisional incoming angle, a difference between the rotation angles A and B when the first and second phase differences are the same value. Further, a duplicating value is determined to be the incoming angle of the radio waves, the value duplicating among a plurality of the provisional incoming angles calculated for a plurality of the rotation angles B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
