PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy at the acquisition of channel information for use in MIMO transmission.SOLUTION: A propagation measurement system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver includes: a plurality of reception antennas; an RF processing unit for performing signal processing including frequency conversion and A/D conversion on a reception signal; a changeover SW for changing over either to connect one of the plurality of reception antennas to the RF signal processing unit or to connect no reception antenna at all to the RF signal processing unit; and a SW changeover control unit to control, in a period from when no connection to all of the plurality of reception antennas is selected to when no connection at all to the plurality of reception antennas is next selected, the changeover SW to connect a reference antenna which is one of the plurality of reception antennas, a plurality of times and to connect in the above period each of the plurality of reception antennas at least one time.
