PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasticizer having excellent heat resistance without volatilizing at a high temperature and good compatibility with a resin, and to provide a polyvinyl butyral resin composition having excellent flexibility and moisture resistance.SOLUTION: There can be provided a polyvinyl butyral resin composition which is improved in compatibility with a resin and has excellent flexibility and moisture resistance by using polyglycerol 2-ethylhexanoic acid ester in which the glycerin concentration in the constituting polyglycerin is in the range of 0.1 to 20 wt.%, the concentration higher than tetraglycerin is 30 wt.% or more and the esterification rate calculated from the hydroxyl value is 30 to 80 mol%.
