<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a serial printer which facilitates removal of a print paper which causes paper jam, and prevents and suppresses damage on a print head in removing the print paper.SOLUTION: A serial printer 1 conveys a print paper P by a conveyance mechanism 22 having a pair of second conveying rollers 31 arranged on an upstream side of a first conveying direction M1 of a print position A. When a print head 12 is in a position opposite to a horizontal conveying passage part 13c of a paper conveying passage 13 and paper jam of the print paper P is detected, conveyance of the print paper P is stopped first, and then the print head 12 is moved in a direction apart from the horizontal conveying passage part 13c in a printer vertical direction Z. Then, the print head 12 is moved in a printer width direction X and is arranged in an away position 12AW deviated outside from the horizontal conveying passage part 13c. Then, nip of the print paper P by the pair of second conveying rollers 31 is released.</p> |
