<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an equalizer that is able to alter the frequency characteristic of a low frequency area while suppressing an increase in calculation carried out by a filtering process.SOLUTION: An equalizer comprises: an FIR filter processing section 105 that alters the frequency characteristic of an acoustic signal input using the FIR filter of an order whose impulse response length is equal to or greater than one wavelength in threshold frequency; an IIR filter processing section 104 that alters the frequency characteristic of an acoustic signal by use of an IIR filter; a high pass filter processing section 107 in which an acoustic signal whose frequency characteristic is altered by the FIR filter processing section is input, and through which a frequency component higher than a cut-off frequency is passed to be output; a low pass filter processing section 106 in which an acoustic signal whose frequency characteristic is altered by the IIR filter processing section is input and through which a frequency component lower than the cut-off filter is passed to be output; and an adder 108 that adds a signal output from the high pass filter processing part and a signal output from the low pass filter processing part, and outputs a reproducing acoustic signal.</p> |
