According to an embodiment, a solar cell comprises: a photoelectric conversion unit including a semiconductor substrate and at least one semiconductor layer; and an electrode formed on the semiconductor substrate or the semiconductor layer. The electrode comprises: an adhesion layer which is formed by being in contact with the semiconductor substrate or the semiconductor layer, and has conductivity; and an electrode layer formed on the adhesion layer. The thermal expansion coefficient of the adhesion layer has a value between the thermal expansion coefficient of the semiconductor substrate and the thermal expansion coefficient of a part which is adjacent to the adhesion layer. |
