<p>A system for providing automated exercise management includes a motion sensor (112) configured to be worn by a patient during a prescribed exercise routine to sense motion of the patient's body, a wireless interface between the motion sensor and a client computing device for storing motion data, a physical therapy application program on the client computing device providing patient access to animations and videos of physical therapy for display on the client computing device, and in the case of an animated exercise, the processor is able to integrate the sensed patient motion to give the patient feedback on performance of the exercise. Personalized videos for the patient are available also. Feedback includes population norms for measuring the patient's progress in therapy.
