The present invention relates to a SCSI converter for a hard disk, wherein integrated drive electronics (IDE) peripheral devices are connected to a small computer system interface (SCSI) system to replace a SCSI hard disk with a compact flash memory. The SCSI converter comprises: a CF head unit having a CF memory storing a backup data from a hard disk, a storage medium of the equipment using a SCSI hard disk drive (HDD); a communication adapter having at least the CF head unit having a CF memory and a SCSI head unit connected to a SCSI socket of the equipment; a control unit converting signals between an ATA interface used by the CF memory and a SCSI interface used by the equipment; and a flash ROM mounted on one board and storing a set of commands for driving the control unit and a program, wherein the CF memory is detachably connected, thus enabling a user to keep using the above equipment while using the same interface to that of the SCSI storage device used in the conventional probe test equipment for a semiconductor, and a flash memory replaces a hard disk, thus enabling a convenient handling and little occurrence of errors and further increasing data transmission speed. |
