The invention relates to mining, and more particularly to methods for increasing the effective permeability of a near-wellbore region of an oil-bearing formation. In nature, oil-bearing producing formations are always bordered by non-producing formations and are often bordered by water-bearing formations. Thus, in hydraulic fracturing operations, it is important that fractures develop actively inside a producing formation and slowly in adjacent formations. The proposed method for carrying out a hydraulic fracturing operation using non-Newtonian fluids makes it possible to slow the growth of a hydraulic fracture in an undesirable direction (i.e. into non-producing formations) and thus promote the efficient extraction of mineral products, including oil. |
