PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility of economical efficiency and clear of regulation while saving labor, in a ship going in and out in a sea area regulated by SOx regulations.SOLUTION: In a ship, a general fuel (C heavy oil) tank 3 and a low-sulfur fuel (A heavy oil) tank 4 are mounted. In an exhaust system of an engine 1, an urea water spray-system SCR catalyst 10 and a by-pass exhaust pipe 16 through which exhaust gas passes without passing the SCR catalyst 10 are arranged. Distance to a regulated sea area is calculated automatically by checking own ship position automatic detection means B and a regulation map; the fuel is automatically switched from a general fuel to a low-sulfur fuel at the timing of reaching the regulated sea area; and the function of the SCR catalyst 10 is stopped by passing exhaust gas through the by-pass exhaust pipe 16, i.e. the exhaust gas purification status is switched automatically. |
