An auxiliary insertion and removal device that is inserted into or removed from a lumen in a state where an inserting section of an endoscope having a longitudinal axis is inserted thereinto and that assists in the insertion and the removal of the inserting section into and from the lumen, the auxiliary insertion and removal device comprising:
a tubular main body section that allows the inserting section to be inserted thereinto and rotates around the longitudinal axis; a fin section that is disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the main body section and spirally arranged around the longitudinal axis; and an X-ray cutoff section that is arranged so that a clear region to be clearly imaged by an X-ray and an unclear region to be unclearly imaged by X-rays are distinguished under X-ray observation in a periaxial direction of the longitudinal axis of the auxiliary insertion and removal device, the X-ray cutoff sections being further arranged on the same straight line along a longitudinal axis direction of the auxiliary insertion and removal device or the X-ray cutoff section being further arranged in the form of a band on the same straight line along the longitudinal axis direction of the auxiliary insertion, to cut off X-rays. |
