Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for entropy encoding and decoding video. The video encoding method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: encoding video based on a hierarchical-structured data unit; determining context model used in entropy encoding of sentence structure of the data unit based on at least one additional information of the data unit; and entropy-encoding the sentence of the data unit by using the determined context model.
