<p> A method of aligning and conveying articles having an absorbent component, wherein a plurality of articles (11) having an absorbent component (1) are placed upon a conveyance path (24) on the upper surface of a conveyance unit (21) and vibrations are applied to the conveyance unit (21) in order to align the plurality of articles (11) in a single row while transporting the articles (11) along the conveyance path (24). The articles (11) are conveyed along the conveyance path (24) while contacting a wall (26e1) provided along one of the edges (24e1) of the conveyance path (24). Gas is blown from gas blowing ports (31) provided in the wall (26e1) so that articles (11) other than the bottommost article (11) among articles (11) that are being conveyed while stacked in the vertical direction are blown towards the other edge (24e2) of the conveyance path (24). The gas blowing ports (31) are provided at positions above the contact position (Pc11) where the upper article (11) in a stack of two vertically-stacked articles (11) contacts the wall (26e1).</p> |
