PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex intervertebral device and a manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A complex intervertebral device includes a plastic core formed between vertebral bodies, and upper side and lower side end plates. The core includes one or more features to enable growth of a bone through the core. Each end plate includes a bone interface side face coated with hydroxyapatite in order to promote the growth of the bone surface. Pores on the bone interface side face enable growth of a bone interior. The core interface side face of the end plate, for example, during injection molding, includes relatively large pores to receive a molten material from the core and improves adhesion of the end plate and core. Each end plate has a central barrier layer for preventing the molten core material from being pushed out to the bone interface pores through the core interface pores and reserves the bone interface pores for the growth of the bone interior. There is also disclosed a manufacturing method of the complex intervertebral device. |
