PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a tartaric acid-modified Raney nickel catalyst known to be effective as a catalyst for obtaining a photoactive substance is scarce in preservability, and has to be used for synthesizing such as a keto acid just after modification operation is performed.SOLUTION: Preservation characteristics in a low oxygen atmosphere is dramatically improved, and stereoselectivity is remained by 70% or more even after preservation of about three months, by using not Raney nickel as a base material of the catalyst but nickel particles not exceeding an average particle diameter of 3 μm, and being dried to be a powder state after being modified with the tartaric acid. |
